Introduction

Thank you for your interest in Rafik Hariri University (RHU). Admission to graduate programs is based on merit and is offered to applicants holding undergraduate degrees from RHU or other accredited institutions. Students may apply for the fall or spring semesters.

To complete your online application, you must go through four steps. If you do not hear back on your application status within 10 working days of applying, please contact the Admissions Office at admissions@rhu.edu.lb.

Important: Scanned or uploaded documents are not considered originals. Once admitted, you will be required to submit the original documents in person to the Admissions Office.

Notes and Remarks

• Create a new account to log in and access the online graduate application.
• It is recommended to use a laptop, desktop, or iPad.
• For the best experience, use Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.
• Complete the application carefully and submit the relevant documents.
• Required fields must be filled; incomplete pages cannot be saved.

Academic Requirements

RHU graduates are not required to submit any of the following documents:

• A certified copy of the undergraduate degree.
• A certified copy of the undergraduate degree equivalence.
• Official transcripts and the university catalog.
• A certified copy of the Lebanese Official High School Certificate or its equivalent.
• Two letters of recommendation — Download here.
• Minimum score on one of the following English language proficiency tests:
• TOEFL — minimum 550 (Institutional or RHU in-house) or 80 (Internet-Based Test).
• SAT — minimum 22 on the Writing and Language section.
• IELTS — minimum 6.5.

Admitted students with lower-than-required English test scores must enroll in the Intensive English Program. Applicants from recognized institutions of higher education where English is the language of instruction may be exempted from the English exam (check with the Admissions Office).

Personal Data Requirements

• Recent Original Personal Civil Status Record (for Lebanese applicants) — scan and upload a clear copy.
• Copy of the Lebanese ID (for Lebanese applicants).
• Photocopies of passport and residence permit or ID (for non-Lebanese applicants).
• Three identical recent passport-sized color photos — scan and upload one photo.

Financial Requirements

Application Fee: $30 (non-refundable)

Payment Methods:

1. On Campus (Mechref)
   1. Visit the Admissions Office to obtain your student ID number.
   2. Proceed to the Finance Office for payment.
2. Off Campus — Any BankMed Branch
   1. Submit the Bank Application Fee Payment Form received by email upon applying online.
